A. Portable Rotary rig used for taking cores in borings 7-X, 16-A, 1-S, C-2, and C-3. Water pump mounted on this rig was also utilized with hand drilling equipment shown in photo B; 

B. Shot-hole casing, equipped with fishtail bit and water hose, used for drilling wash borings by hand.;

C. Two views of cup-type sampler constructed for general sampling.; 

D. Sixty-pound-weight apparatus used for driving and pulling out cup sampler shown in photo C.; 

E. Wheel used for rotating shot-hole casing (shown in photo B) when drilling through hard materials. Also shown is a regular fishtail bit used with hand equipment shown on photo B.;
