Evolution of Jurassic to Cretaceous Carbonate Platforms in the Guyana‐Suriname Basin
Abstract
The Guyana-Suriname basin is characterized by extensive Jurassic to Lower-Cretaceous-aged shelfal carbonates and several isolated carbonate build-ups with exploration potential. The authors have reconstructed the evolution of the basin's carbonate margin using available seismic, well, and gravity-magnetic data and plan to share carbonate depositional environment maps for the Jurassic to Early Cretaceous.
