Methods for inter-well correlation developed in the Laboratory for modeling of oil and gas geological projects provide for the usage of two software packages: MOST - computer-aided system "Modeling of Sedimentary Stratified Section" for comprehensive geophysical studies of wells. ANECOR - "Analysis, Expertise, Correction of Results of Inter-Well Correlation of Profile Cuts of Wells". Software package MOST allows to solve the following tasks: to conduct continuous inter-well correlation in any assigned direction for any number of wells, starting from two; to establish multidimensional laws for basic structure-forming geological bodies - "storeys" of accumulations specifying the depths having general and local occurrences; to establish borders of stratigraphic and tectonic disagreements in the profile cut; to isolate rocks belonging to one type in profile cuts of wells according to data of geophysical and petrophysical studies. As compared to the existing software for computer-aided inter-well correlation, computations using MOST software package require much less a priori geological information: in particular, there is no need in profile cuts of bench mark strata and information on the type and location of intervals of tectono-stratigraphic anomalies in profile cuts. Software package ANECOR, contrary to computer-aided system MOST, does not use GIS curves and does not make inter-well correlation. The ANECOR software package allows to solve the following problems at a certain stage of studies of sedimentary section: to estimate reliability of the correlation performed by specialists or computer; to enter corrections in the depths of monitored batches, strata received during separation and correlation of the well profile cuts; to perform unbiased comparison of alternative variants of the results of inter-well correlation in choosing an optimum, more reliable variant of geological model; to establish structure of sedimentary section according to results of optimum variant of correlation with determination of geological cycles of sections under study by way of separation of layer rock associations, governed by the law of prospective changes in bed thickness; to study lateral enduring and mutability of the profile cut nature with detection of zones of stratigraphic fraction (washouts) and tectonic dislocations in the well cuts. This software package has no analogs. The MOST software package has been tested at Orenburg and Karachaganak gas and condensate deposits, oil deposit Odoptu-sea and Osipovichsky PKhG. Software package ANECOR has been tested at Orenburg and Karachaganak gas and condensate deposits, three deposits of the West Siberian platform and in studies of vendrifeyan sediments of Moscow syneclise.
