Salt System Evolution and Controls on the Development of Stratigraphic
Sequences

The distribution of reservoirs sands
in salt controlled settings is complex, and intimately associated with the
structural evolution of the salt system. This project seeks to establish the
controls that salt system evolution exert on the depositional sequences. This
is a critical part of the petroleum system. By establishing the history of salt
evolution through structural restorations, this project seeks to constrain the
complex bathymetry that controlled sand distribution over time.
