Hydraulic fracture operations were optimized in a gas shale play via integrated interpretation of seismic fracture mapping results, pressure curves recorded during fracture operations, seismic reflection images, and geologic information. Improved operations were obtained through downhole fracture equipment adjustments and through indentification of significant potential bypassed reserves. Interpretations also revealed significant geological controls on fracture behavior pointing toward more efficient completion techniques.
